We are an Anglican church trying to develop a modern model of church in response to a modern city and student life.

We are about helping you find out what God has created you for and equipping you to engage with his word and transform his world.

St James’s has a growing and vibrant student community, and takes it's commitment to the huge student population in Liverpool seriously.

Students are encouraged to become active members of church life, whether they are here for a couple of terms or decide to stay and make their home in the city.

.. a welcoming home

Liverpool is a diverse city with an increasing number of International students coming to study here.

We want to build a church that everybody feels welcome and accepted. Our aim is to help people integrate into community and feel ‘at home’.
