Hello!

At St James we believe that being at Uni is a pivotal time in your life, and we want to do everything we can to support you over the course of your time here by providing a loving church family, sound biblical teaching, practical support and ongoing nuturing and friendship. This year we have put on a number of dedicated events for students, and we'd love to see you at any of them.

St James’s has a growing and vibrant student community, and takes it's commitment to the huge student population in Liverpool seriously.  Students are encouraged to become active members of church life whether they are here for a couple of terms or decide to stay and make their home in the city.  We are planning lots of events in the near future… such as Purpose Groups, Bible studies and lots of social events!!

Events:
We will be holding a bunch of events throughout the student year. These events will include:

Gathering

What - A mid-week meeting for all students with time to meet together, study and discuss the word and support each other.

Welcome Parties

What - Self explanatory!  A great chance to meet some of the other members of the church and enjoy some fine nibbles

Basics Course

We will also be running a Basics Course in the first term for new Christians or people interested in understanding exactly what Jesus did for us and how we can apply that to our lives. One student who recently completed the course said:

"The course answered some questions for me, but mainly it made me understand and see Christianity differently – less like ‘rules’ and more like a way of life. It made everything alot clearer for me" … Christine

hello, Nee how, hola, Sawadee, hallo, yah-soo, konnichi wa...

Liverpool is a diverse city with an increasing number of International students coming to study here. Whether you are here for one term, or a few years, you are very welcome at St James.

We understand that you probably find yourself in a culture that is different from your own and many things might seem a bit unfamiliar. We want to build a church that everybody feels welcome and accepted. Our aim is to help people integrate into community and feel ‘at home’.
