2009 saw many new and exciting things happen for St James: we had Aggie’s dedication, Jessie’s baptism, James’s commissioning and Neil’s institution; we moved permanently from the Cathedral concert room into St James church and bought our marquee to meet in weekly; we saw the church grow to its current size of around 40 adults and 8 children; 3 members went on pilgrimage in Spain and another 2 went on a mission trip to Bolivia; our Purpose Groups grew and developed; and right at the end of 2009, we had our first St James Christmas Day service.
Neil preached: that the shepherds HEARD the Good News, went to SEE the Good News, and then TOLD others the Good News. Aggie was keen to put these principals into practice straight away. May we use her enthusiasm to encourage us to be the same!
We would like to thank everyone for their encouragement, involvement and support for St James in the city throughout 2009 – God really is doing wonderful and exciting things in this church, and we pray that our growth may be an indication of many people coming to God all over Liverpool and this country this year.
Continue checking our website for updates, events and news through 2010, as this will surely be an even more eventful and exciting year for St James!
