Building for the future

Building for the future Building for the future

One of our yonger members came down to St James to help the builders with the new wall.

For many years the graveyard wall along Upper Parliament Street has been in danger of collapse. Because the graveyard is closed it is the responsibility of the local council to carry out repairs.

The design involves building a new look alike wall in front of the original, and filling between the two with reinforced concrete to provide strength. The work is expected to take three months to complete.
