If you are looking to get stuck into building a pioneering church then we may be what you are looking for.

Although this has been a while in the planning we only opened the church in January 2009. The church has a focus on social action and making a difference to the communities in which we operate.

We are an Anglican church but we do not function in the same traditional way you may be familiar with. We are trying to develop a modern model of church in response to a modern city culture.

What are we doing?

Over the last few months we have started doing church and the following things have sprung up:

• Purpose Groups: Peace and Justice, International students, Guerilla greening
• Weekly church services
• Café Church events
• Work on the restoration of St James Church building

Who are we?

We are a group of people whose lives have been changed by the good news of Jesus and we believe it can change this city too.
